Swimbrite Swim School Terms and Conditions
Enrollment Conditions:
Full payment by the given date is required with the booking form. Renewals must be paid by the last week of term and new bookings must be paid one week for prior to lessons commencing.
A place cannot be confirmed unless payment has been made. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. Demand can be high so prompt registration is advised. All parents and swimmers must agree and adhere to the Swimbrite Swim School Code of Conduct.
Waiting List:
There are maximum numbers for each session. Should classes be full then a waiting list will be taken into operation. As soon as a new place becomes available, in the appropriate ability level, you will be offered that place. Please inform Swimbrite Swim School as soon as possible if you no longer wish to be kept on the list.
Cancellation:
No refunds can be given for cancellation received once the course has started and no refund will be offered for lessons missed.
Swimbrite Swim School reserves the right to change or cancel a course at any time. Arrangements will be made to reschedule where possible.
Staff:
All Instructors are qualified and experienced swimming teachers and hold the relevant ASA / STA certificate(s). As some physical contact with your child is unavoidable all staff adhere to the ASA Child Protection Procedures
Swimbrite Swim School reserves the right to replace advertised coaches or programs where unavoidable.
If an Instructor is unwell or cannot attend a session, Swimbrite Swim School will endeavor to provide a cover teacher.
Adverse weather conditions
In the event of adverse weather conditions please contact the venue before arriving to your lesson. Swimbrite will notify the venue if the lessons are cancelled.
Lessons:
Swimming lessons are run term time only in accordance with the Leeds Education term dates. Lessons will not run on bank holidays.
Crash courses will run most holidays.
Swimmers:
Arrive for the teaching session on time.
If you have a medical problem, or for example, use an inhaler, please tell your Instructor.
Persons who have consumed food within 1.5 hours should not use the pool.
To avoid injury the wearing of spectacles in the water by a swimmer during a session is not recommended. Care of spectacles is the responsibility of the parent/ guardian. Swimming goggles, including those with ophthalmic prescription lenses, may be worn at the wearer’s own risk.
Jewellery can be a hazard and shall not be worn during swimming.
All swimmers must wear suitable swimwear. For babies that are still in nappies please use 'aqua nappies'.
Only enter the pool once your Instructor has told you to. Listen to what your Instructor tells you. If you don't understand, please ask.
Once your lesson has finished please vacate the pool. Children that are members can stay in the pool providing they have an adult in the water supervising them.
The following action consists as disorderly behavior: running, diving, jumping, ducking, fighting, bombing, shouting and throwing items. If behaviour persists you will be asked to leave.
Parents:
For the safety of themselves and others, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to enter the pool without an adult over the age 18.
Outside of lessons the children are not the responsibility of the swimming instructors.
Register your child on arrival. Please arrive and collect your child at the allocated times.
Personal belongings are left at the owners risk.
Shoes must be removed or blue covers be worn before entering on to poolside.
No food, glassware or crockery is allowed within the pool premises. Plastic/ non-breakable drinking vessels may be allowed at the staff's discretion.
